Salt Glazed Stoneware 
Coils of clay, some colored with iron oxide, rust, were placed over a large form and pressed together, the resulting mosaic was then worked on the potters wheel, creating a beautiful symmetrical shape.  A salt vapor glaze firing finalized the piece.
